August 28th - Cooking with Herbs
Chef: Mary Anne Potter
Wondering what to do with all of those herbs in your garden when the season draws to a close? Join Channel 8's Mary Anne Potter, founder of the Ponca City Herb Festival, and owner of Herban Renewal Farms for a delicious evening full of herbal flavor! Mary Anne loves to share her knowledge about all things herbal while serving some wonderful herbal dishes. She’ll cover such topics as Growing Herbs, Using Herbs in Your Cooking, Drying Herbs, and more!
The class will begin with an Italian Green Herbed Salad served with a side of Cheese Crostini with Herbed Butter. Then, you’ll be served a savory Herbed Roasted Roast Beef, Garlic Herbed Mashed Potatoes and Herbed Roasted Broccoli. For dessert, she’ll serve Lavender Panna Cotta with Balsamic Strawberries with dollops of liqueur-flavored Whipped Cream.
